Winter Fishing Tips with David from SUP Customs + Grab Bar Announcement!

All right guys, David, Austin, SUP Customs. Doing what we do in the winter times is we find these holes. I don't know how many red fish you think we've caught, I don't know, 10, about a bit, bunch of sheep head, big 22in trout. So what we do with the kids is, we don't so much run and gun in the winter's, Austin I me. We just put the kids, like Grayson Landing, we get these low tides and we just slay fish. So this is really when the board shine, in the winter times. On a side note — well that was, that was a side note — what I'm really talking about right

now is some of updates. I'm a little bit cold, cu. No matter what, I still love the wade fish, so I'll put these kids on boards and I'll just kind of walk around the hole and see where the fish are. Right now we have red fish in the middle of the hole, trout seem to be on the sides, sheep heads around this rock over here behind Austin. This is kind of a little tip — tell me a shrimp bubble — of how we rig our shrimps, kind of for the YouTube series here, doing a little bit more instructional stuff. You have a big, bigger shrimp up so

they can see it on camera better. Yeah, this is the biggest one in there. All right, so pretty simple. I do this anytime we do live shrimp. We actually don't even put them in, in an aerator, we just keep them in a Ziploc bag. And then Su are times Ziploc bags, or or on ice. But simply — gray your whole reels in the water baby. Thank God you got a port a fishing product re, and it's saltwater rated and not fresh water. Wait, like some other. Yeah, B, get your real though. Thank you, it doesn't need to take a bath, love you. I'll T time. Okay, so anyways, I put

1 oz and 2 O bullet weights offshore, 20, 30 ft of water, when we catch our hogfish and and different stuff. I use this on everything, cuz I — even when I'm using a shrimp I like to kind of like use it like artificial. I can cover a crapload of ground here with this situation too. So, bullet weight. This is a big one because the current was riid, and this hole is about 7 ft deep, 8 ft deep. But usually a smaller bullet weight, just like a bass rig, like a worm. You got your shrimp, got the tail up top, I go through the back, I kind of get the where the

horn is, and then they basically come right out right away, and then through the shrimp, and then turn it and bury it like you would a worm. All right, and this is our setup. So now when Landon throws it out, he can let it sink and kind of jerk it off the bottom, just like a, like a worm. Here, throw it out there so you can catch every one the fish. Throw it out to your trout spot. So, but what we've always done on these boards in the back country — and usually we're, we're way back — is we run and gun. We know our spots. We use a lot of times around the, the oceans side when

we're off, off to the front in the spring and summer, we'll run and gun and we'll find our spots. Sometimes we just come on here and explore the back country for miles with our trolling motors. Another rock, or you got to fish? I don't know if it's a rock, I think it's a rock. Okay. And then she's been catching rocks all day, she's the best at it. But we'll run and gun, and and we'll scare a lot of fish, but we'll find a new hole, a new spot to come to next time. And that's what we've always done on these boards in the back country,

because we're not subject to tides. I mean, the tide's low, ti's high, we can stay back there and we can find them. So, to my update: right now we have a new trolling company, a brand that we'll just start using this year, so we're excited about that, cuz a lot of brands are going away from 12 volt and going away from 36 in, so that's going to be good. A little bit about the Dakota Lithium battery that I love, that I always say. Right now obviously it's trolling, powering my trolling motor all day, but I have, you know, I have the 110 and I have USBS. My

remote died to this trolling motor, so it's charging that. And one thing I'm really excited about is the grab bar. We know it's a big need for any vessel like this. Will you stand up Bubba, you're good, all right, come back. All right, so the grab bar — turn around for me, I need to get up here. All right, so the grab bar here, I got, I and I do really like it. This one that we're going to start using is a steady stick, and I know it's not going to ever go on the plastic rails of a live board. These are the aluminum tracks. Can we turn a little bit,

I'm testing it out today, and I really like it too when your hands on the — you have my room mode up there don't you, can you see it good, aome. All right, I, I'm liking it today. It, it is okay on the aluminum tracks. It's not going to support a ton of weight, I can see fiberglass flexing, but I'm really liking it. So if I have my left hand back here on my tiller handle, I can grab here, it's working really well. Throw it down, you can see here, you have your support standing up. I like it. I like this feature too. I'm getting there guys,

right there, th in the cooler. So, liking everything about it. Now what we're going to have to do in development to make this work with live board is, we are going to make a platform and a support brace, so it will go with the plastic tracks as well, across. And then you're going to have a removable grab on. This is going to be a grab bar that will 200 lb going to hang on. But as you're motoring, as you're fishing all day, as you're moving around, this is a pretty, pretty cool product I know a lot of people have, have wanted and needed. But with, with the tracks, with

the boards, with with everything, we haven't really gotten into development of it. But this will be a really simple way for us to bring it to the market, with steady stick and figuring out with our welding company an aluminum type base. So we'll probably sit about this high, kind of about belt high, and then it'll go into a cooler just like that.
