Why SUP Customs Skiffs Are David’s Go-To Machines for Backcountry Fishing.

What I cover in this video

  • These aren't even in the same category as a boat. My family still needs one — that's what the Freedom Boat Club is for.
  • It's a different experience. Like having a tiny canoe with no walls. It's peaceful, and it's helped me through some hard times.
  • I can put two boards on the water for what one rig costs, and we can all run in two or three inches of water.
  • Every board has every tool a high-end skiff would have — trolling motors, Power-Poles, engines — and we each fish our own way.
  • The kids asked if we could bring the paddle boards. They didn't say portable skiffs. Today the engines stayed in the trailer.

Hey everyone, happy Labor Day. And wanted to have a little discussion with those that are on the fence about why to buy this paddle board portable micro skiff, that are on the fence. What's the benefits of these over a boat, John boat, Gheenoe, all of those questions? Every single piece, you know, on the water, every vessel has its own purposes. And I want to say that these aren't even in the same categories. If I, you don't even put them in the same category: do I want to buy a boat, or or a paddle board? These are in a separate category. My family still needs a boat, we

still need to go out, taking just a couple people out, stuff like that, going further off. What's worked really well for me is my father has a flats boat, and my family kept the Freedom Boat Club that I'm a part of. So the family, I take them offshore, pontoons, offshore boats and everything. And then we, we love these things in the back country, they've been our main go-to, because we're in extreme skinny water. And then whenever I want to go with my dad, I take his little, little Tidewater skiff in the back country. These, when you look at these, you would get these

because it's a different experience. It's just fun, it's like having a canoe on the water that's tiny with no walls, and you just feel like you're to reconnected. It's peaceful, it's helped me through some hard times, relaxing. So that's one. It's not a John boat or Roto mold, I wouldn't even compare it to that, cuz these can, 65 lbs, throw in the back of your truck, go. I like them too cuz I can have multiple boards on the water for the same price, or so much, you know. I could put two boards on the water for $110,000. We can all run in two, three inches of

water, slay fish all day, with every single tool that a high-end skiff would have — trolling motors, power poles, engines, the whole deal. We can do our own thing, we can all have our own fishing techniques, spots, but we, we're still together. And then for a day like today, it's cool. We don't talk about this a lot, we don't explain it, but we had no — you can hear my kids over here — grandparents just moved down here to the Nature Coast, retired. We're first time we've been here, we were going to go visit them for Labor Day, see their house,

they just moved in yesterday. And the kids are like, can we bring the paddle boards? They didn't say, can we bring the portable skiffs. So now we're like, heck yeah. I got a trailer because I have multiple boards, and plus I wanted another garage, so I don't want to be stacking these engines in the garage taking up all the space. My wife didn't want me to do that. I have 15 fishing poles in there, in the ceiling, I have all kinds of stuff. So, all right, hook up the trailer Austin, let's go. So today the engines are left in the trailer, and we

are a couple of them putting the trolling motors on them, and we're just having a paddle board day, fishing and just chilling on paddle boards. So if you want a paddle board beach day, you have it. If you want to T turn that cadar fiberglass built like a boat skiff into a, you know, a boat, a skiff for you the next day, you can. You can do both. So today I wanted to come on, give you a few comparisons, but also one of the huge benefits of having these is you, you, you just don't have, probably the best portable skiff that out there, most P

portable. But you also have something you can just go and have a extremely fun beach day, or something on, with paddle boards with your family. So I hope that helps you. Remember, you can always call us for advice. No one has ran these boards with motors on it more than Austin and me in the world, period. That's why LIVE Watersports made us a dealer. Or you can send it and go on SUP Customs.com and place your order for one of these. Take it easy.
