Flip Test On a SUP Customs Hybrid Build

#skiff#kayak#paddleboard

What I cover in this video

  • We're testing what the equivalent of a nine horsepower electric will do on a paddle board. Six kilowatts.
  • One of the biggest reasons we chose ePropulsion is you don't have to use their batteries, so you can save money.
  • Austin and me are gas guys from the start, but I told them I could run this bad boy permanently.
  • The LIVE board has a massive air pocket under the catamaran hull and it locks you down. I'm about 205 right now.
  • Other companies won't land on the side, bring water halfway up the board, or jump three feet in the air. Run it properly and it won't roll on you.

Everyone, David Customs out here with ePropulsion testing out just for the heck of it what a equivalent of a 9 horsepower electric motor will do on a [laughter] stink arm paddle board and you'll see some videos coming out of the test day. Holy cow. So, you're going to have the option of buying a propulsion with us, especially going into 2026. They have a new one coming out that's really, really cool. It's equivalent of a six. Very, very light. The one we love right now, you've seen on our page is equivalent of like a three.

But this new one coming out is going to be absolutely sick. Been more than impressed with their battery life and one of the biggest things of why we chose them because we've been pursued by basically every electric brand is you don't have to use their batteries. So we we love that aspect. You can save money. But this is the equivalent of my goodness gracious. This is the I'm not too familiar with kilowatts. What are they? >> This is six kilowatts. And the next one coming out is about three >> two kilowatt. And the one we have now is one one kilowatt.

So the new Spirit is going to be absolutely sick. You know, Austin and me, we're we're gas gas guys from the start, but I just told them I could run this bad boy permanently. Is pretty sick, especially with electric jack plate. So, check that out. Next year, if you're on a lake looking at getting into the no gas legs or you're in fresh water a lot, want the ease of no gas, ePropulsion is really really a way to go. We're out here. We just finished it up and as you can see, I'm not locked down by anything here. And it's been a while since I've done a stability test.

So, let me get a little closer to you so you know that I don't have anything under me. I don't have any people under me holding me up. I don't have whatever. So, all right. Make sure we get all the whole board here. As you know, the LIVE Water Sports or if you're new, you may not, but Live Water Sports Board has this massive air pocket underneath the catamaran hole and it locks you down. So, that's you know. So, what what I got right now, I got things will fall off. Look at that. So, I'm about 205 right now. It's winter time.

I lost my summer body. And if you ever seen another company do this, they're doing that because of Austin over the years. Just going to say that out loud. They don't really do it right. You got a little bit of a lean, little bit of All right. They don't do this and land on the side of it and really, really, really try to flip it. Right. I got to start back here so I don't fall off. They don't bring water halfway up their board when they jump on it. Jump three feet in the air. So now, if I'm on this thing and I have too much weight on the back and the bow goes up and that air pocket leaves, that's one thing.

But run this thing properly, get used to it, get comfortable with it, this thing's not going to roll on you. Check this out, too. Slippery. [snorts] The entire hole is is closed. Water can't get in. But what paddle board kayak can you get on the front and sink it or stand slippery? Hold Let me get on the comfy marine mat on the corner of this stinking thing and do this. Hold on. I'm slipping. There we go. All right. So, if you ever wondered if it can take a wake, I just did that. If you ever wonder about the overall stability, well, now you just saw it.

It's been a while since I've done this. I did it to a little bit more of extreme now. But if you want to know more, check us out. Give me a call. We'll talk about you, your abilities, your goals, what you need, and we'll get you set up. Take it easy.
