Catching Redfish, Snook & Cobia from a SUP Customs Rig 🔥 #fishing #boat #snook

Everyone, David, SUP Customs. Just having a blast over here with Luke with Salt Strong, long time friend. He's went from an L2 to now an L4 with a six. So, we went from an L2 with a two and a half to L4 with a six horse. Been fishing everywhere. We started off earlier, caught some red fish out of some little creek mouths, and went off mile off shore in our our boards and our live boards and caught some cobia off some stingray backs. And then on the way in, I said, "Let's let's drive this line." This is one of my favorite lines, and tide's up, so these fish can stage up.

So, check out Luke over there, and check out pan over there to Luke, and then pan over there Austin, if you don't mind, to kind of what you see in here. This is a little different than our low tide winter stuff. So, you've seen us the last three, four months fishing mud, back country, pulling big snook out of trapped trapped in bays. This is what we do, and that's where airboater this is about the only thing we can do. But, because we love sub fishing, we love this so much, you know, we could take our boats out for through our club, we can do a lot of stuff, but we we like to be here together.

All of us doing our own thing, right? Our own plan. Like I stopped here, Austin and Luke went to another little hole. And what I do on these a lot of times when fishing is slow is I jump on them, and I just buzz the coastline. And once I start seeing fish, I know where to start fishing, right? And that's the purpose of the gas engine. So, when I'm tuning you in, and you call me, and you want one of these, I'll ask you your goals. Cuz you may 50% of our boards going out are just bottom coating and trolling motors only.

And then you can upgrade later. You can add on a gas motor later. But, I'll ask you your goals and if you're fishing the coastlines and stuff, well, you're going to need a 3 and 1/2 or a 6, I'll tell you. But, I buzz this coastline and then all of a sudden, I actually see some fish right there. Look, there's some snook right there. All right. So, we're all doing our things. I buzz this coastline right here and I scare off >> That's it. >> big red. Get it. Here. Here. All right. Well, Austin's going to get this big old red fish because why not?

It's probably the one I saw. He's about 35. 30? Well, that's not big. Just kidding. You want him? >> Sorry, guys. >> Sorry, guys. Prior priorities. You lose him? You see that snook right there or those reds? I'm way down low, so I can't really see. >> We have hours to make YouTube videos. >> All right. He's going to go back to filming me. This will be our YouTube video. A little bit more No, you're good. >> [snorts] >> We we are back. Back to work. All right. So, after I flew past 15 mph past that and And profile's is small, we don't I mean, obviously he was spooked, but we don't chase them off.

We're not a massive boat. But how I got this guy right here, I know. I know. Is I turned off my this was turned off my engine, cut it. This is not a trolling motor deal. I grabbed the paddle and I went and I came this way, slowly creeping in in front of me, seeing if I can see him under a root or whatever. On the way, I got a 30-in red. So, I had the tweaker from Salt Strong on the red. Two reds today around 30 in. The other one is here. Other one's here on a stringer, all right? That's on a tweaker. Actually, I'm sorry, that was on a Aqua Dream spoon.

That red was on these guys right off the bottom cuz none of the reds when I was throwing the new live bait needed, none of the reds were coming up. And the snook weren't either. There was a few little snook, but I knew that wasn't the guy. So, if I was on a 20-ft boat or whatever, I'm not I don't have that small a profile. Even a canoe or a technical skiff. A technical skiff, obviously, you can pull it off. But I'm >> [snorts] >> being in the way being in the back, you know, you got 20 ft the front of it that can spook them with a trolling motor or whatever.

Obviously, you can pull, but it's a different story. I'm not really a puller. But I'm just paddling right in these little and all of a sudden, I saw that red, too. So, I'm going to wait for me, threw that tweaker right in front of them, a good distance, about 3 ft out, and about 5 ft ft past them, and man, they blasted it. All right, good, but I haven't seen that snook yet. So, I kept going down, kept going down, and all of a sudden, right here, they were staged up right under that big branch. So, I skipped, and it was a topwater situation.

So, I skipped that no live bait needed on top of the roots, so I didn't land on them. Dropped it right off the roots, right on their head, and boom, this guy blasted it. And I'm okay with that. Cuz I love my snook. That's why I can't leave Florida. Right after he hit, and as he's you try to yank him out of roots, the 35-incher swims off. But that's just how you fish There's a million ways to fish these. And one is buzzing coastlines, spotting fish, swinging back around, letting them settle down, and getting on them.

So, people ask all the time, why not just get a boat? Because there's a purpose for this and a boat. I have both, so this is what I love. Just paddling up here, stalking fish, seeing them, yanking them out of roots. There's just nothing like it. So, this is just a little bit of a real life situation. We've had a blast today. I'll pl- I'll pluck a couple more of these fish out of here. Just paddle right up there, see if I can spot some right ahead of me. I only got about a 3-second, 4-second window, right? But we'll get them.
